Eleven Questions From The Young Book Collectors Blog:
1.) What's your favorite literacy genre and why do you like it?
In the last few years I have been addicted to YA. I dont really know what started me on my obsession, but Its still going strong. I love that in YA you can delve into so many different genres, and different characters, yet the same fundametal ideas appear in most all YA novels. There is so much diversity that I just can't seem to get enough!

2.) What annoys you the most when your reading a story?
I think the one thing that annoys me the most would be when an author tries to pound information into me while im reading. I am one for subtlety so when I am barbarded with the same information on a continuing basis, i get really annoyed.
3.) Explain, what is the number one book, you would read all over again?
My number one book I would read all over again? There are so many I could chose from, but I think I would have to pick Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The reason? Well for one, I grew up with Harry Potter and that series was unlike anything I had read previous, but also because this book is my all time favorite. This is the turning point in the series, where things start t get darker and more sinsiter, which made for a very good book.

4.) Who's your favorite author (or poet) of all time, and why do you think others should read their work?
Since I am a YA nut, I will stick with that theme and say Cassandra Clare. Why? Because her imagination has no end, and the characters she build are so complex and in depth that sometime I wonder if they are in fact real. Her writing is amazing and she has a knack for sexual tension that I have yet to see from another YA author.

5.) If you could be any character from one of your favorite books who would it be? Why?
This is a tough question because there are so many great characters out there in books today, but if I had to chose I would probably pick Nora from Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush series. The reason I chose Nora was because she is a very likable character and she is strong willed and very independent. A very good model for young girls out there. And plus, she gets to make out with Patch...how wouldn't like that?

6.) What attracts you to reading a book? Is it the cover or merrily because the plot sounded interesting itself?
I have to say a little bit of both. I am very interested in what the cover looks like and I will admit that I do judge a book by its cover. BUT I also read the blurb on the back of the book as well, an even if the cover is less than satisfactory for me, I will still be intrigued and pick up the book.

7.) What made you start blogging in the first place?
My love for books. All I ever wanted to do was get my opinions out there for everyone to see. I love to write, and reviews seemed like a good way for me to express my opinions in a creative way. I also wanted to connect with more bloggers and book lovers so that we could discuss our favorite books.

8.) What book, author, or poet do you find influential?
I have always loved Walt Whitman, ever since I was a little girl, so I find his poetry and his imagery to be very inspiring. I always find that poetry is a good place to start, especially if you are looking for inspiration.

9.) What book are you looking forward to reading next year?
There are many books that I am looking forward to reading next year. My TBR list for 2013 is HUGE, but if I had to choose I would say Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi. It sounds amazing!

10.) If you could publish a book what would it be about, and what would you want the reader to get from it?
I would probably gravitate towards the YA genre, just because it is what I am most familair with, and my book would have to have an element of Mythology to it, whether it be greek, roman or norse, it doesnt matter. I just love all kinds of Mythological tales, and I would want to express that through my writing.

11.) Now, what if your published book was to be turned into a movie? Would you go for it? Even though the settings within your story might drastically changed on scene?
I would only go for it if Iwould have some say in what goes on within the production. I would never allow my vision be tampered by hollywood, that is not my style. If they allowed me to be in on some of teh casting and set etc. I wouldn't think twice about doing a movie.
