My Thoughts
I remember when I first read legend last year. I had borrowed in from work because I was a little hesitant on the concept being too much like The Hunger Games. But what I found out was that this book had elements that were similar (really what dystopian novel doesn't), but it blew my mind. I remember reading it in one sitting because I wanted more, and thankfully Prodigy delivered on "the more" I was talking about.

Prodigy continues where Legend leaves off, with Day and June making their way to Las Vegas to talk with The Patriots, when they get a message that the Elector Primo has died and his son Anden is to take his place. This sets off a whole whack of events that set Day and June on an adventure neither of them thought possible.

I went into this book with VERY high expectations, because I loved Legend so much, and I am happy to say that it lived up to everything I wanted it to be. What I loved most about this book was the pace. It was filled with action and adventure, and the romance between Day and June was the backbone everything. Although Marie Lu has introduced the rare love SQUARE, you never lose that connection between the two, even though there are times when you seem to doubt everything. But in the end It was their need to be together that resinated with me the most. You could feel their emotions through the pages and I wanted so much for them to be together.

I will tell you right now that then end broke my heart. I had soo many feeling going through my head when I finished the book, I wanted to laugh, cry and scream all at the same time. It is this ending that makes me sad that I have to wait so long to read the next book.

Overall I absolutely loved this book. If you love dystopia, if you love romance, and if you love adventure then be sure to read this series. It will not disappoint! It encompasses everything you want in a YA novel and readers will fall in love with these characters all over again.
