TOP TEN TUESDAY
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome The Broke & The Bookish!
This weeks topic is: Top Ten Books I HAD To Buy...But Are Still Sitting On My Shelf Unread
This one is hard for me because I ALWAYS have a need to buy ALL THE BOOKS and they always end up staying on my shelves. But here is my list:
1. The Archived by Victoria Schwab| I HAD to have this book when it came out, but I have yet to pick it up :( But I will...promise:)
2. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare | I remember being so excited about this book, but I haven't touched it since I bought it.
3. Eve & Adam by Katherine Applegate and Micheal Grant | Wanted this book soo badly, and I almost forgot that I had it...
4. Requiem by Lauren Oliver| I know it just came out, but I am soo scared to read it!!! It will be a bit before I pick it up I think
5. The Host by Stephanie Meyer | I have tried to read this on multiple occasions but the last few times I think of twilight and then I get angry so I stop. But i do want to read it all the way through...eventually.
6. Splintered by
A.G. Howard | This book has a gorgeous and cover and a great concept, yet I can't seem to pick it up. Someone make me please cause I know I will love it!!!
7. Just One Day by Gayle Forman | I am always weary about contemporary YA, but I love Gayle. I just keep forgetting I have it!
8. Entwined by Heather Dixon | I loved this cover, that was originally why I picked it up, but I think it got lost in my shelves...
9. Between the Lines by Jodi Picoult | I loved the illustrations and the fact that it was written by Jodi and her daughter, but I think other books got in the way :(
10. Distant Hours by Kate Morton | I loved reading Kate Morton while I worked at Chapters but once I left I think I forgot about her after I left. I really should get back into her writing, great historical fiction with contemporary fiction mixed in.
What about you? Any books you just HAD to have and haven't read them yet?
Let me know!

I have Entwined and Eve and Adam too because I just HAD to read them. I'm trying to get better at the impulse buying but the books are just so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo many great books. I have to say, if there is one I would REALLY recommend on your list, it's The Archived. It was amazing. Great list!

My Top Ten
I am the worst for this. I am always picking up books that I'm so excited for, and then they end up getting shoved aside for others and life. I HATE THAT.
ReplyDeleteI was late reading my ARC of The Archived, but I reviewed it today and I'm soo glad I picked it up! So, so good and exactly what I needed at the time. It took me a while to read Clockwork Prince and I ended up listening to it on audio anyways.
REQUIEM! It's scary but so much love <3 I'll be stalking you until you read it hehe :)
Entwined! It's so good! One of my pre-blogging faves. I picked it up on a whim and adored it. I recommend it to a lot of friends.
Brenna from Esther's Ever After
You should DEFINITELY pick up The Archived - my favorite book so far this year, hands down. It's awesome.
ReplyDeleteI need to read The Host too. I actually saw a trailer for it last time I went to a movie, and the trailer looked pretty good. Definitely want to read it before seeing the movie.
Nikki @ There were books involved...
