Opposites in every way . . . except the one that matters

Shaw Landon loved Rule Archer from the moment she laid eyes on him. Rule is everything a straight-A pre-med student like Shaw shouldn’t want—and the only person she’s never tried to please. She isn’t afraid of his scary piercings and tattoos or his wild attitude. Though she knows that Rule is wrong for her, her heart just won’t listen.

To a rebel like Rule Archer, Shaw Landon is a stuck-up, perfect princess—and his dead twin brother’s girl. She lives by other people’s rules; he makes his own. He doesn’t have time for a good girl like Shaw—even if she’s the only one who can see the person he truly is.

But a short skirt, too many birthday cocktails, and spilled secrets lead to a night neither can forget. Now, Shaw and Rule have to figure out how a girl like her and a guy like him are supposed to be together without destroying their love . . . or each other.

I picked up this book because the guy on the cover is hot, I mean common! This guy is most girls fantasies, and then I turned the book over and read what it was about and i knew I needed to read it. And I am so glad that I did because this book blew me away from beginning to end.

Shaw is a good girl, always had been and she is sick of it. Rule is a bad boy through and through and he has no idea the torch Shaw has for him, until one (very sexy) night together that changes everything. i loved both Shaw and Rule because their relationship showed that sometimes it is better to have an opposite as your better half because it makes things interesting.

Their relationship together is a roller caster from the moment they are introduced and it does not stop until the last pages, and I felt like that was incredibly real for a New Adult book. Shaw's love for Rule takes over her life and she has carried this with her since she was a child, she has to take into account what kind of person Rule is, and that is what I loved about these characters and their development, they needed to re-learn who they were and need to learn who the other person was all over again and that was beautiful to read.

Jay Crownover has quickly become one of my favorite New Adult authors because her writing is so beautiful and consuming. And her characters are flawed and real and amazing developed. I will definitely continue to read Jay and all of the Marked Men books!
