 TOP TEN
TUESDAY

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by the awesome The Broke & The Bookish!

This weeks topic is: Top Ten Books I will always recommend

some textsome textsome text

1. City of Bones by Cassandra Clare|I will always love this book, and this series. Not only because the writing is amazing, but because the world building is some of the best I have read.

2. Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver| This book made my laugh and cry all at the same time. This was the first book that made me feel something for a main character that didn't really start out with many great qualities. Amazing read.

3. Dreamland by Sarah Dessen|This book deals with a subject that is very hard to write in YA fiction. Abusive relationships. And it is done with such grace and respect. Sarah Dessen is just amazing.

4. Juliet by Anne Fortier| Historical Fiction is not a genre I read a lot because it can get boring. But this book weaves the present and the past together in a way that hooked me from the very beginning.

5. Life of Pi by Yann Martel|This has been one of my favorites for years, and it is solely for the reveal at the end of the book. If you have read it, you know what i mean.

6. The Passage by Justin Cronin|A gritty and amazingly written vampire novel that doesn't read like a vampire novel.

7. Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers|This book made me cry, not only because of the brilliant writing but because of the content. Bullying has always been a harsh issue to write about and Courtney Summers makes it vividly real in this book.

8. Wildefire by Karsten Knight|What I love most about this book is not only the mythology, but the main character. She is so witty and sarcastic and such a bad ass. Great read.

9. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor|The writing style in this book is breathtaking. Laini Taylor has amazingly talent for fantasy and this books is amazing.

10. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry|This book made me love contemporary again. The characters are real, damaged and vivid. They deal with situation much older than they are, and the writing is breathtaking.

    1. AGREE! I remember when I first read it, I was so mad at the end because I felt like the author tricked me, and then I realized that the end was essentially the reason I loved the book so much. It makes you question everything you learned, and whether to believe the main character.

So glad you liked Life of Pi!!
