Five years ago, Wren Connolly was shot three times in the chest. After 178 minutes she came back as a Reboot: stronger, faster, able to heal, and less emotional. The longer Reboots are dead, the less human they are when they return. Wren 178 is the deadliest Reboot in the Republic of Texas. Now seventeen years old, she serves as a soldier for HARC (Human Advancement and Repopulation Corporation).

Wren’s favorite part of the job is training new Reboots, but her latest newbie is the worst she’s ever seen. As a 22, Callum Reyes is practically human. His reflexes are too slow, he’s always asking questions, and his ever-present smile is freaking her out. Yet there’s something about him she can’t ignore. When Callum refuses to follow an order, Wren is given one last chance to get him in line—or she’ll have to eliminate him. Wren has never disobeyed before and knows if she does, she’ll be eliminated, too. But she has also never felt as alive as she does around Callum.

The perfect soldier is done taking orders.

I am a huge fan of YA science fiction and when I read the description for Reboot I knew that I had to read it right away. And it did not disappoint! This book had everything i love about YA, action, adventure with a little bit of mystery mixed in. And we cannot forget the romance. This one was slow building and I loved that. It was everything I hoped it would be.

In Reboot we follow Wren, a teenage girl who died 5 years earlier and was rebooted...178 minutes later. Reboots are common place in Wren's world, but no one is like her. No one was ever rebooted after that long a time, except her. It is only when Wren meets Callum that she begins to questions her world and questions her own emotions--or lack there of.

This book was a roller-coaster ride from page one, I was immediately sucked into Wren's world and all of the conspircacies that go along woth it. I think what I loved the most was Wren's character growth throughout the novel. At the beginning she followed all teh rules, knew her place in society. But all that changes and I loved that her feelings for Callum were the reason. It was thorugh her gradual feelings toward him that hse begins to see the holes in her world.

Overall, this book lived up to every expectation I had and I cannot wait to see where this series takes me. Amy Tintera, I tip my invisible hat to you! Well done.
