An unexpected affair leads to mind-blowing harmony in this Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Jason is sick of living in his rock star brother’s shadow. So when he ships off to Sea Breeze, Alabama, he’s looking for a much deserved escape and a chance to blow off some envious steam. Falling for the local bad girl was definitely not the plan. But as the new duo enjoys some naughty fun in the Alabama sun, Jason learns that even though Jax is the musician in the family, he’s not the only brother who can rock someone’s world.

I remember when I first discovered The Sea Breeze Novels by Abbi Glines, and the moment I read them i knew they would be my go to book for the summer. They are always fun and flirty with a hint of New Adult content. They are the perfect read for a sunny and warm July day and so when I picked up Misbehaving, Jason's story I knew I was in for a fast and fun read. And I was not disappointed.

Throughout this series I have met so many great characters, but Jason was always my favourite because he was always in the background and you knew he was waiting for his turn to shine, and get out of his brothers shadow, so for him to finally have his own was a plus for me. Jess was a great character to have opposite Jason because she is from a very different world than him. She is from the wrong side of the tracks and has a tendancy to fall for the wrong boys. So everything feels different when she meets Jason, a rich and privileged boy from money. These two characters were great to read because we got to see both of their POVs and their views on the same story. I think I loved Jess a bit more than Jason in this story because we saw more of her. And her story was one that was the most compelling, especially when we get a glimpse into her home life.

The only issue I had with this story was the pace. I found that Abbi jumped time a lot in this book. We just get into the story and then we jump forward 3 months and then when we get connected again to the story it jumped again. I just wanted to read a story from beginning to end, but i found the jumping in time too away from the pace of the book and left me a little disconnected.

As always Abbi Glines has the best conflicts and I loved this one too because it felt so real. These character were obviously into each other and you knew they were both being stubborn but reading it made me angry in a good way. I think i read a bit faster because I wanted to see their HEA and of course they get it. But only after a long and excruciating time period of being apart. I really enjoyed this book. It was fast paced and had all the right amounts of story and sexiness.

Cage York has to choose between a love of the game and a love of the girl in this sultry Sea Breeze novel from New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines.

Cage York finally has everything he ever wanted.

And Eva is at the very top of that list, the perfect girl with a temper as hot as her fabulously flawless body. But for Cage, a baseball scholarship has always been a close second. So when Cage finally gets his chance, he and Eva must endure a long distance relationship and all the dangerous temptations that come with it. Temptations that former bad boy Cage York may not be able to escape.

Then after receiving some illicit photos that show Cage has been behaving badly, very badly, Eva finds solace in the comforting arms of her insanely attractive neighbor Jeremy, who vows that he will take care of Eva in ways Cage never could. Its an offer that may be too good for Eva to turn down.

Torn between his baseball dream and the girl of this dreams, Cage must prove hes worthy of Evas love, or risk losing her to Jeremy forever.

Abbi Glines has quickly become one of my favorite New Adult authors over the past year. I discovered Fallen Too Far last year and never looked back. so when I saw that she had a series in YA i knew I had to read it. I will admit that I have not read all of the Sea Breeze books, but to be honest I don't really think I needed to. But I will say that in my opinion the Sea Breeze books should NOT be in the YA section because the topics that these books deal with, in detail are not things that 14 year olds should be.

Sometimes it Lasts follows Cage and Eva as they begin a life together. Cage gets a scholarship to a college for baseball and has to leave Eva behind. It is what happens while he is away that tears them apart. Now I am all for love stories where the love is eternal, but in this instance Cage was just too intense for me, it was like his life was nothing without Eva, and although its adorable and cute, at times it was a bit much for me. I did enjoy the overall romance between Cage and Eva, I loved the sexual tension between the two and I liked that the author was not afraid to go behind closed doors (if you know what I mean).

Characters can make or break a story, and for me, the characters in this book were very two dimensional. I did not really feel anything for them at all. I wanted to care about what was happening to them, but for some reason I felt no connection to them. That hindered my overall enjoyment of the book because I had no ties to the story, I had no investment in the characters. It also did not help that the argument that lead to ultimate conflict was very childish and unnecessary. It is a very big pet peeve of mine when characters could solve their problems by just talking, but they refuse to do so. I hate that.

Overall, this book is a very fast and fun read. I did like the overall story and the love aspect because it was tense and filled with steamy scenes. But ultimately I wanted to feel something more the characters because i really felt nothing for them.

This is a brand new segment I am starting where I feature a book a day, in the month of December, that I am looking forward to in 2014. It can be any book from any genre, from any author or publisher!

This is a great way for me to help you make you TBR pile bigger! And to share the books I cannot wait to read! Hope you enjoy!

WARNING: This review will have spoilers for the first two books in the series, so you have been warned!

Fallen Too Far is the third and final book in the Too Far series by Abbi Glines. I will say, that this series made me a fan of Abbi Glines for life, her ability to create compelling characters was what kept me going with this series, and her ability to write hot guys too ;)

In this final book we find Rush and Blaire engaged and very pregnant and I have to say this was probably my favorite book out of the three. Why you ask? Well this is the first book we actually get to see a different side of Rush. Although I was still annoyed with his devotion to Nana, which never stopped and was getting a bit ridiculous. Not only did we see Rush's character evolved but we also saw Blaire's character grow a pair. That was what I loved most about this book, was that Blaire too charge of her life and decided not to take any crap from Rush and I loved that. And it was only when that happened did he finally realize what he was missing.

I am a sucker for happy endings and I will say that I was happy with this one. It was completely tied up in a neat little bow, but it was enough to keep me satisfied. Abbi Glines created characters in this series that I will always remember and I think this series is a must read for all New Adult fans because it is filled with so much raw emotion and great characters that you will devour them in no time, I know I did!

WARNING: The below review will have spoilers, so tread carefully.

In this second installment of the Too Far series we find Blaire pregnant and alone. Now as with all series, there is usually a slump and I will honestly say that this one might have been it. Although I really enjoyed reading this novel, I found most of the storyline to be a bit unbelievable.

For one, Blaire not wanting to tell Rush about the baby made sense for a bit, but then it got to the point where I was wondering if she would ever tell him. And eventually when she does his reaction was a little too good to be true. I mean i know he loves her and everything but for him to be that excited that fast for a twenty four year old, made no sense to me. Honestly I would be freaking out.

Also, Rush's relationship with his sister Nana was even worse in this novel than the first. I found her to be super controlling and I always wondered by Rush felt so protective of her when it was obvious to everyone but him that she was trying to sabotage his relationship with Blaire. And all for something so juvenile as jealousy.

I will say that the love scenes in this novel weren't as romantic as the first book, but they were still blush inducing. They were also very frequent in number and I wondered at what point they would stop jumping each other and finally start talking.

Overall this was a good book for lovers of New Adult, there is plenty of tension and steamy scenes, but for me it lacked a powerful back story that pushed it forward. But! the story continues in Forever too Far, read my review tomorrow!

She is still naïve and innocent due to spending the last three years taking care of her sick mother.

She isn’t prepared for the lifestyle change and she knows she’ll never fit into this world. Then there is her sexy stepbrother who her father leaves her with for the summer while he runs off to Paris with his wife. Rush is as spoiled as he is gorgeous. He is also getting under her skin. She knows he is anything but good for her and that he’ll never be faithful to anyone. He is jaded and has secrets Blaire knows she may never uncover but even knowing all of that…

Blaire just may have fallen too far.

I came across this series by accident and I am so glad I did because it was a great series to read. Fallen to Far is the first of three books and I honestly read all three in one weekend. Although I will say that story line is a little unbelievable at times, and the lines can get a little on the corny side, I loved reading them.

Fallen Too Far follows Blaire as she deals with the death of her mother and having to go live with her estranged father. What she doesn't account for is falling for Rush Finley, the son of her new stepmother. He is bad is every way possible, yet they just can't seem to stay away from each other. And it is their relationship that creates even more drama than either of them knew possible.

Rush Finley is the guy you love to hate. He is cocky, handsome and is constantly surrounded by women who adore him. So I really liked the contrast between the Rush we meet at the beginning of the novel and the one that evolves by the end. It is almost as if Blaire's presence in his life forever changes him and that was really sweet to read.

Blaire is the complete opposite to Rush, she is innocent and naive to many things and it is only when she meets him and begins to spend time with him that she evolves into a young woman. I loved reading her reactions to Rush's lifestyle because they would have been exactly what I would have said. She was a great character that you could relate to in terms of life experience. This was a great start to a series that went farther then I thought it would go. Look for my review of Never too Far coming tomorrow!
